Creating a New Album
To create a new album, select File->New> Complete Album from the menu bar. This will open a form to select the type of album, size and initial number of pages. Pages may be added or removed later, however the album type and size may not be changed.

The album types available are those manufactured by Jorgensen Albums. For more detail see Jorgensen Albums . There are four album types to choose from, these are:
- Pro Bound
- Styla
- Art Album
- Classic Folio
- E - Album
- S - Album
Loading and Saving Albums
An album may be saved using File->Save Album or File->Save Album As. This saves the album to a file on your computer. The photos are not included in this album file, only their locations are stored. If you move the photos or load the album on a different computer then these photos will be 'orphaned' from the album. When the album is loaded next time, JAD will prompt for the location of the image files.
To load this album file, simple choose File->Load Album and select the .jlb file.
Note: When an album containing a large number of placed images is loaded, the system may run slowly for up to a few minutes while it is loading the images files. The system will still be operational during this period, however it may respond slowly. If this is a problem, wait for a minute when loading large albums full of images.
Album Properties
There are several properties which must be selected when designing an album. To select these options, select File->Album Properties.

There are several groups of properties available here:
The User tab is where details of the client, studio, name and address etc are filled in. The General tab is a summary of the album.
